Wondering what shows to catch in Dallas this weekend? There’s certainly not a lack of options for live music in Dallas this weekend. Check out our picks below:

Fox and the Bird, The Beaten Sea and Listen Listen (Houston) at City Tavern
The City Tavern has made a name of itself for bringing great local shows to its downtown venue. This show promises to be exactly in that vein. Fox and the Bird and The Beaten Sea are both talented local folky / alt country / indie acts. Listen Listen, from Houston, fits right in with the locals. If you’re looking for a chill night with quality tunes, this could be your spot.
Paramore with Tegan and Sara at the Verizon Theater
It’s not so often you hear a band from KXT play alongside a band from KissFM. Let’s say, you’re 18 years old and you have moderately good taste in music. Let’s also say, you have a 14 year old brother and a fairly strict mother. Ladies and gentlemen, this is the show for you!
Teagan and Sara at Good Records
If you happen to be that 18 year old with moderately good taste in music, hop on over to Good Records in the afternoon before the show at Verizon Theater to catch an intimate live set with Tegan and Sara in Dallas’ best record store. Pro tip: buy any Teagan and Sara album at the store to get a wrist-band that guarantees admission.
Ishi w/ Romp Almighty, Comedian Chris Tellez at The Belmont Pool
Ishi, who puts on the best fucking show in Dallas play next to a Pool. Need we say more? Walk like an Egyptian!

Sarah Jaffe & Seryn at Granada Theater
Last weekend we saw lalagray, Dallas’ latest challenge to folk music golden child Sarah Jaffe. Now it’s time to compare notes. Sarah Jaffe, with opener one-thousand-and-eight-people-and-a-fiddler band Seryn, bring their luscious tunes to the Granada Theater for a Saturday night show. Not your thing? We’re willing to bet that $3 beers and $3 vodkas are. If neither of those things appeals to you, you’re probably reading the wrong website.
Dave Matthews Band at SuperPages.com Center
When it comes to Dave Matthews there’s pretty much two major schools of thought: Dave Matthews is the second coming of christ or Dave Matthews last produced a quality sounding record in 1998. The founders of this site are in that second school. And therefore we give you Dave Matthews on Farts:

Blues Bandits & BBQ at The Kessler Theater
We tried for five whole minutes to find the lineup for this show. Then we got distracted. Watching funny YouTube videos. SO, if you do know who’s playing on Sunday, let us know in the comments! We’ll be starving ourselves in anticipation of sustainable beef BBQ, whatever the hell that is.
