Trees
A storied Deep Ellum music venue, Trees played a pivitol role in the storied Deep Ellum days of the 1980s and 1990s. The original Trees closed in 2005. Opened again mid-2009, Trees has since been renovated and spruced up (no pun intended). Trees features a state of the art sound system – so good, in fact, that renowned rock band, Deftones stopped to to play an album release show at the venue in the middle of a nationwide tour.
Trees features a large general admission area with a fairly large balcony. The venue has many good viewing angles, and the drinks are average priced. Being that it’s Deep Ellum, parking is always an issue. Trees typically books heavy metal and hard rock acts, though it’s been said that the venue has been branching out of late.
